GENERAL INFORMATION
AND OTHER DETAILS. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ.
SKY-VU is located 1.5 miles south of Monroe, WI., along the east side of Wisconsin State Highway 69, opened 29 May 1954. 20 April 2012 DIGITAL PROJECTION was introduced with it’s digital soundtrack being broadcast through Full Spectrum FM stereo sound, while offering an all gravel lot, massive high reflective screen, the brightest, and sharpest image, along with the always delicious, fresh, hot, homemade multi-cheese blend SKY-VU Pizza. SKY-VU also offers our famous fresh popped popcorn, grilled: 1/3 pound hamburgers, all beef 1/4 pound hotdogs, and 1/2 pound “foot-longs.” Nachos. Pretzels and bread-sticks - available with cheese or marinara sauce. Candy, iced cold sodas, SKY-VU Lemonade, and Slushies.
SKY-VU has a “NO CARRY-IN POLICY, FOR ALL beverages and ALL foods. This means partials or full containers of soda, candy, popcorn, left overs, etc. from somewhere, as SKY-VU offers 2 digital movies for the price of one. Outside foods & beverages are not allowed into indoor movie theatres, nor other venues such as Camp Randall, Kohl Center, etc. To honor our patrons who follow our policy by supporting us by following out policy we converse with every one at the box office. If found on the grounds with such items you’ll be asked to leave, without a refund. Alcohol gets a call to the Green County Sheriff. This is our policy, as well as other Drive-In’s policies. If you have unique needs let us know at the box office, or message us at our Facebook page. There are now less than 200 drive-ins, down from over 4,000 in the U.S.A., due to the expense to convert to Digital Projection, luckily SKY-VU is one of the 200. SKY-VU did not receive the financial support that indoors received to make the Digital conversion. Many Drive-Ins went DARK. If SKY-VU wasn’t Digital it too would be dark as studios no longer use film / celluloid. SKY-VU’s Digital system pays for more than two indoor Digital systems, which does not include the cost for a 3 ton A/C system along with massive insulation of the project booth exterior wall, and ceiling.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED COOPERATION, UNDERSTANDING, SUPPORT, & PATRONAGE!
PARKING: Out stalls are designed for two cars EACH, and ONLY CARS, not one car, and not for you to place your chairs, nor to sit on the ground along side your car. At another Drive-In people were struck by a car while sitting / laying on the ground next to their car. You need to park within 12” of a pole so that two cars may fit into each stall - the area between two poles. Sitting atop vehicle roof tops is not allowed.
We guarantee the first show. Refunds allowed up to the first 12 minutes after the projector starts. We’re open in all types of weather which is the risk that we all take. Be sure to BRING CASH as SKY-VU DOES NOT ACCEPT checks, (too many bad checks written during the 2022 and 2023 seasons), credit cards, passes, nor coupons of any type.
SKY-VU also reminds you to leave your pets at home, for the sake of others, and your precious friend.
THANK YOU, AND ENJOY!
